Termonuclear PAE

У меня две установки МХ: одна с PAE, другая - без. По приколу у них общий хомяк.

МХ без РАЕ - тормоз, вечные проблемы с контактом, тормоза на равном месте. МХ с PAE - ядреный кипяток: 30 вкладок хрома, сообщения в контакте и музончик там же - 10-15% процессора! Видимо, потянет и больше.

Video, VLC and mp4 fail (solved)

Stupid MX15, a stupid derivative of the stupid Debian, can not play a video!

Launch VLC from the terminal, open a mp4 file and get a crush with the message:

Failed to open VDPAU backend libvdpau_i965.so: cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory

No receipts from I-net and conferences are working!!! I`m very hungry!

My solution: try to do the same in SliTaz and watch the messages of the installer. We see:

libvlc,
ffmpeg,
bzip2 (oh, very well!),
tar (wow! it`s great!!!)
... and many others.

I think bzip2 is already installed on MX, tar - yes of course, but what is about ffmpeg?

Ok, install ffmpeg!

All right... What the stupid situation! Stupid debian`s APT!

First impression

1. MX-15 is a deb-based Linux with nice settings and some cool features.

2. It's middle-weight distro with good debugged XFCE without nasty bugs detected in debian`s "jessie" XFCE.

Built-in first-need soft includes: FF, Office, mail; CUPS works properly, no problem.


Present soft:
1) dropbox
2) htop already exists
3) mc al. ex.
4) texlive-full after update
5) wine - mat is bad! (
6) pidgin (37mb!)
7) LAMP (160mb, problem with phpmyadmin solved by this:

При ошибке 404 внесите в файл /etc/apache2/apache2.conf строчку Include /etc/phpmyadmin/apache.conf  )
